Major Milestone Reached!

September 10, 2008 – We've passed the million dollar mark! On Wednesday September 10th , members of the ELC staff, Management Committee and Campaign Cabinet gathered to celebrate this special milestone in the capital campaign. Our thanks to the generosity of supporters who made this happy event possible; step by step we are achieving our goal of $1.5 million.

At this point the campaign has temporaily closed down to respect the United Way's campaign which runs from September 15 to November 1. The United Way is an important supporter of the Early Learning Centre's early childhood and family support programs. Without the help of the United Way, we would not be able to deliver a critical program Parents As Teachers (PAT) which supports parents in their critical role as their child's first teacher. PAT ensures that parents aren't just the first teacher of their child but also the best they can be.

No active fundraising is taking place during this black-out period. Activities will resume November 2nd.
